It’s never ending.

Now the ignition barrel keeps locking up, and there’s a nasty noise that comes from the front left wheel when you are turning right under brakes.  We ended up getting stuck in a supermarket car park for a while yesterday trying to get the barrel unlocked.  Not the best place to be stuck, especially with my daughter in the car and it being so warm at the time.  Luckily we were able to get Rick and Amanda to come down and grab Molly and the shopping, while we waited for the car yard to get someone to come look at the car.  Of course, I managed to get the ignition unlocked before they got anything done, so now we are in a position where we just have to hope that we can start the bloody thing every time we have to use it.

It’s booked in for more repairs on Wednesday, so hopefully this will be the last time (yeah right).

As is always the case when you buy a second hand car, we’ve had our first bout of teething problems.  Took a trip to a mates place, ran like a dream.  Stopped at his place for about 1/2 hour, started the car, and the Air-conditioning Fan belt literally SHOT out from under the car.  Not a huge issue, a bit disappointing though, especially when you add that to the loose air filter box(not roadworthy) and loose wiring in the engine bay(also not roadworthy).

Luckily it’s under warranty, so she’s booked in for Wednesday to get those bits and pieces dealt with, and I’m also getting them to do a RWC, just to make sure that the mob who “did” the pre-sales RW, didn’t “miss” anything else.

Still, even without the aircon fanbelt, she’s so nice to drive!

Was SO bloody fantastic pulling up to my house and seeing a HOLDEN parked in my garage.  Lovin’ it SICK.

What more can I say.  She’s just a nice, clean, straight VT SS. Oh and it’s a HOLDEN!

Well they have FINALLY finished al the processing required for us to take ownership of the car.  My VT SS is currently being picked up by the better half, in preparation for my return home (and subsequent cruise!!)

*sigh*

Just finished dealing with all the paperwork for the loan and insurance, gave the car yard their deposit…and then got told I now have to wait for the insurance to be processed before we can take delivery of the car.

Don’t get me wrong… I’d rather wait a day than risk getting in a prang and not being covered, I was just really looking forward to having a bit of a cruise in the beast.

Just got a call from the finance company.

Looks like my little rant this morning was a little premature, because we just got approval for a car loan.

Now i just have to deal with insurance and getting all the paperwork signed, and then we can pick up our new beast..i’ll get some pics up as soon as i pick up the car!
