I have decided to open the script for “The Shed” up to anyone who wants to help see this become a reality.  It will be a long term project, simply due to the ambitiousness of the idea.  Here it is in a nutshell:

Take a script for a short film.  Expand the story behind the script to include enough material for 3 separate scripts, each from the point of view of one of the 3 main characters.

Create the scripts, including instructions for filming(i.e. multiple Camera angles of the same scene etc)

Crowdfund the resources needed to pay everyone involved in the actual filming.  This includes actors, camera crew, director, etc.

This way everyone who should have been paid for their time have been, with the exception of the “script writers”, which will be the broader community in general.

The raw footage can then be released under a Creative Commons license, allowing anyone to remix and mashup the footage to create their own vision of how the story should play out in film form.

Currently only the basic avenues for discussion have been set up, as well as the original script, my notes for what I intended the vision to be, and the raw assets used so far for things like the movie poster.

I’m currently in the process of writing a movie script.  Generally, the script is going quite well, with the primary scenes and general flow laid out.

The details of each scene are coming along, although I am starting to hit a bit of snag in terms of ideas.  Enter you, dear citizens of the interwebs.  I need some help coming up with ideas for methods of torture.

The primary protagonist is a young woman, and most of the scenes revolve around her torturing a young man.  This is NOT going to be a “Saw” type movie, attempting to “wow” the audience with pure shock, as I’ll never actually be showing the torture happening, but I want the audience to get the idea of what is happening.

An example is where the woman drives an awl into the leg of her victim.  You’ll see her raise the awl, you see her arm swinging down, but instead of seeing the awl pierce the flesh of the victim, you’ll see his face instead, or see the event happen as a silhouette, a shadow on the wall.

The “torture room” is a shed or garage, so any “tools” would need to be common to such a place.

P.S.  Please keep in mind that is NOT going to be a “Saw” like movie, so no “Shock factor” type stuff.  There will not be copious  amounts of blood being thrown around, our evil woman wants this man to survive as long as possible, in terrible pain.
